  2. Driver installation

  The narrow side of the driver ‘s heat sink is the mounting surface and is installed in the cabinet. It should be installed in the mounting hole of the driver with M4 screws.

  The power portion of the driver generates heat, and forced air cooling is required to operate the driver at maximum power.

  Do not install the driver in a space where there is no air flow or place it around equipment that can cause ambient temperatures above 40 °C, and do not place the driver in a humid environment or where metal chips can easily fall into the driver.

  3 Connections


   3.1 Connecting the power supply

  Connect the AC power supply with the attached connector as shown below. Connect the live (L) and neutral (N) wires with AWG16 wires and the ground wire (G) with AWG14 wires.

  Do not remove the power connector while the power is on! If the operating environment's power supply voltage is higher than the normal voltage, a transformer is required to bring the voltage back to the normal range.

  The 3R110 drive contains a 10A snap-off fuse.

   3.2 Connecting the motor

  Warning: When connecting the motor to the driver, please make sure that the power of the driver is off. The motor cannot be disconnected while the driver is energized. Do not connect the motor leads to the ground or power supply.

  By connecting the motor leads to the U, V, and W terminals of the drive, you can change the lead sequence of any set of windings to change the direction of the motor.

  3.3.1 Enable Input

  The EN input enables or disables the power section of the driver. The signal input is photoelectric isolated and accepts 5-24 VDC single-ended or differential, and the maximum signal can reach 28V.

  When the EN signal is suspended or low (optocoupler is not conducting), the driver is enabled and the motor is running normally; when the EN signal is high (optocoupler is on), the power supply of driver is partially turned off and the motor is not energized.

  The EN input can be used to restart the drive when the motor is in an error state. First, the existing fault is eliminated from the application system, and then a falling edge signal is input to the EN terminal. The driver can restart the power section and the motor is excited.

  3.3.2 Alarm output

  The OUT port is an opto-isolated output with a maximum withstand voltage of 30VDC and a maximum saturation current of 100mA.
